Delegation Awards
Distinguished Delegation Award
This award will go to the delegation with the second-highest overall score.
Outstanding Delegation Award
This award will go to the delegation with the highest overall score.
The scores for the delegation awards will be determined as follows:
Each committee chair will give EVERY delegate a score of 1, 2, or 3.
Awarded delegates will receive bonus points for their delegation.
The scores from each delegation, including the bonus points from awards, will be added together and divided by the number of delegates attending the conference from that delegation.
To be eligible for an award, delegates in beginner committees must submit a position paper and resolution on the topic. To find details on how to write these, check out our resources.
We heavily recommend that delegates in intermediate committees submit a position paper and resolution for both topics. Delegates are eligible for an award if they submit a position paper and resolution for the same topic ONLY IF that one topic is chosen to be set as base. Otherwise, they will not be eligible. Therefore, we recommend that delegates research and write about both topics so they are better prepared and guaranteed to be eligible.
Delegates must submit a position paper for all topics to be eligible. No resolutions are needed as advanced committees are Harvard-style.
